Folkuniversitetet offers daytime and evening courses as well as lectures in areas such as language, economics, communication, writing, and aesthetic subjects. Our courses are primarily aimed at individuals but also associations and companies. For the autumn of 2025, we are now looking for one or more course leaders for courses on the theme of sustainability in Karlstad.

About the assignment
We are looking for several course leaders on the theme of sustainability. Our courses are mainly conducted in the evening, but there are also opportunities for courses during the day and on weekends in our premises located in Karlstad. Various types of courses are of interest. Examples of courses include "Repair your clothes with simple methods", "Repair your furniture with simple methods", "Knitting", various types of simple craft methods, or "Make your own beeswax wrap". Please feel free to come up with your own suggestions and ideas!

You will independently plan and conduct your courses, as well as follow up and register attendance.

Your skills and background
You have a great interest and expertise in your subject area and find joy in teaching others. Previous experience teaching adults is an advantage. Since the instruction is conducted in Swedish, you should be able to express yourself well in Swedish.
As a course leader at Folkuniversitetet, you are expected to have the ability to tailor the teaching to individuals and draw out each individual's potential. It is important that you enjoy conveying knowledge and see the positive in participants' development. You are flexible, attentive, and structured, and have experience working independently. We also expect that you share our view on the equal value of all people and the right to knowledge.

Employment form
The employment is a project-based position (employment per course) with compensation per study hour. Planning is done in close collaboration with responsible staff at Folkuniversitetet.
